Class Descriptor

Body Pump
A 60 minute class using barbells and adjustable weights to tone and condition muscles whilst raising metabolic rate for rapid fat-burning. After an initial warm-up, all the major muscle groups are worked via a series of weight-bearing exercises including squats, presses and lifts. Every three months, there is a new release of Body Pump providing fresh choreography and music.

Body Step
A fun cardiovascular workout where routines are performed on and around a step board. This is great for burning up the calories whilst targeting the thighs and glutes. Every three months, there is a new release of Body Step providing fresh choreography and music.

Spin Cycle
A stationary cycle class that provides a great cardiovascular work out that targets the muscles of the lower body. There is variable resistance on all of the bikes which allows each participant to work at their own pace.

Elite Toning
This class is an aerobic class format where all the participants copy the instructor, the exercises change from week to week and vary throughout the class to provide both aerobic and anaerobic benefits therefore is different to a standard ‘aerobics workout’.

Core Circuit
An effective workout designed to tone and strengthens the muscles of the abdomen, which can help to improve posture and prevent lower back pain.

Legs, Bums & Tums
A body conditioning class to tone, sculpt and tighten those problem areas. A great class with great results.

Freestyle Calorie Burn
A studio based workout with fun choreographed routines to motivating music for cardiovascular improvements and weight loss.

10:1 Gym Time
Traditional circuit training based in the ground floor gym using the equipment as individual stations placed in a strategic order to target the whole body, this class is extremely adaptable to accommodate not only all participants but will prevent repetitive training from week to week.

Elite Mind & Body Workout
This class combines exercises from Pilates, yoga, and tai chi, creating a 55-minute workout to center the body while lengthening and strengthening the muscles including the abdomen. It will help to improve overall fitness, but the class focuses more on mind-centering types of exercise, using breathing techniques. The class aims to improve cardiovascular fitness, reduce stress levels and improve flexibility.

Tabata
Tabata Training can be done with a number of different exercises the idea is to use an exercise that gets the whole body involved or at least the major muscle groups. Tabata Training can be done with Barbells, Dumbells, Kettlebells or just Bodyweight exercises. It is an intense circuit workout where you exercise for 20 seconds followed by a 10 second rest and then repeated up to 8 times.
